A Titus 2 Woman

I've been more than inspired by At the Well and would like to share more specifically the joyous delight I find there.

At the Well features a list of wonderful writers that contribute to their blog daily with personal, intimate, challenging and inspriring worship for Christ.  They have 5 themes:

“But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2: 1-5

A Snippet About At the Well from their home page:

According to Titus 2, as women we are to:

Speak things that are proper in sound doctrine (we need to know His Word!)

Be reverent in behavior
Not be given to slander
Not be given to much wine
Be teachers of good things
Be mentors
Love our husbands
Love our children
Be discreet
Be chaste
Be homemakers
Be good
Be obedient to our own husbands

Wow what a list – a bit daunting at first glance, but ladies… we were wired with the desire to fulfill this incredible role as Titus 2 women. This is how our awesome Creator fashioned and formed us. As women, we have an INCREDIBLE part to play in the Masterpiece written by our Father.

Our goal at At the Well is to encourage you in your role as a Titus 2 woman. We will cover five main topics:

Gathering At the Well
"encouraging, equipping & teaching what is good"
This is our weekly round table discussion!

Reflections on the Home
"to be homemakers and busy at home"

To Raise Them Up
"to love their children"

To Have and To Hold
"to love their husbands and be subject to them"

Reflections on His Truth
" to teach what is good... to be reverent "

My prayer is that the Well will be used by the Father to help us recognize who we are in Him. I encourage you to come to the Well, and come often.

Come when your cup is empty, and when it “runneth over”
Come when you hurt or you want to help the hurting

Come when you need practical advice or have some to give

Come when you need encouragement or when you can be the encourager
Come to listen and come to talk

When you come, I can promise one thing; according to Titus 2, God has called women to mentor and minister to one another and that is what you will find here…

At the Well.
